Currently the UHM Thai Language Program only offers one online course (Thai 105), which is dedicated to those who wish to learn the Thai script.
The course is available to the general public, and to registered UH students.

- a regular UHM course (regular Term)
- a credit program UHM Outreach College course (“Extension” term)
Thai 105 has HSL designation, meaning that it fulfills UH Manoa General Education HSL (Hawaiian or Second Language) requirement.
Current University of Hawaiʻi system student are eligible to register in UHM Outreach courses without submitting an application if you will not graduate before the term begins.
Please note that Outreach College tuition is paid separately and is not included in the full-time UH system tuition cost for a regular Fall or Spring term.
Enrollment Information for the general public
THAI 105 Reading and Writing Thai Script (2 credits) is a completely online learner-centered “asynchronous” distance learning course. All class instruction and materials are available online for the students to access at any time, from any location, with an internet connection.
The general public (i.e. non UHM students) can apply and register via UHM Outreach College as a “credit” distance course. No application fee is required. The registration deadline is in early August for the Fall semester, and in early January for the Spring semester.
