Dr. Ulrich (Uli) Kozok is your Indonesian professor. He has studied at the Universities of Hamburg, North Sumatra, and Leiden, and taught at Medan State University, the University of North Sumatra, the University of Auckland, and since 2001 at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
Dr Kozok is the author of various textbooks for the Indonesian language available through Indonesian Online.
Chhany Sak-Humphry is a native speaker of Khmer. She has a Ph.D. in Linguistics (1996), with focus on the syntax of modern Khmer, and an MA in Linguistics (1992) focusing on Old Khmer inscriptions. She joined the University of Hawaii in 1979 and has been teaching Khmer language for the last 35 years.
Her fields of interest are in linguistics, foreign language teaching with innovative technology, bilingualism and language policies and culture.
Her research focuses on Modern Khmer and Old Khmer Syntax.
Chhany Sak-Humphry has developed innovative e-learning materials for all level of Khmer language.
Dr. Yuphaphann Hoonchamlong is Associate Professor of Thai and Coordinator of the Thai Language Program at the University of Hawai’i-Manoa. She taught Thai Linguistics for more than ten years at Thammasat University in Bangkok, Thailand, and since 1984 she has had extensive experience teaching Thai as a foreign language at various U.S. universities. She has been teaching Thai at the University of Hawai’i since 2001.
