Māori Language Program at the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa

Friday April 27, Taika Waititi, Māori film director, is speaking at UH Mānoa at 1.00 in BUSAD  C101. His film, BOY, screens at Kahala Theater from Friday 27 April.

On Saturday 28 April the Maori Program is delighted to be participating in the Polynesian Day from 8 a.m. This day is organized by the Samoan Program, and will take pace on the grassy area behind and to the left of Korean Studies. The day starts with cultural activities associated with preparing food for an umu. Later in the morning, once the umu is down, there will be brief items from the various Polynesian language students present. The umu is being lifted at about 12 noon.
