Survey of traditional and modern literatures of South Asia (Persian literature in translation)
IP 365 is a survey of classical and modern Persian literature in translation. This course provides you with the discussion of Persian prose and poetry in English translation. A selection of classical literary works of the most prominent figures in Persian literature such as Ferdowsi, Rumi, Khayyam, and Hafez, as well as works of prominent modern figures such as Sohrab Sepehri and Ahmad Shamlu will be explored.
